A person or family of Richland Township that is in need of assistance if there is not enough income or resources to provide the basic necessities of life such as food, shelter, utilities, and medical needs.
Food Pantry
A person or family of Richland Township that is in need of food assistance is eligible to receive food from the pantry once every 2 weeks. Please be sure to bring in a piece of mail EACH TIME you come in.
Fire protection
The Township Trustee has the statutory responsibility to provide fire protection. Fire protection can be provided by contracting a fire department, operating its own fire department, or a combination of both. Richland Township contracts with the Ellettsville Fire Department. Indiana Code 36-8.

Investigation of Weed Complaints
Indiana Code 15-3-4 states township trustees are responsible for destroying detrimental weeds within their township. To file a weed complaint, the form must be completed and returned to Richland Township by fax, mail, email, or in person.

Voter Registration Form
Residents may receive an Indiana Voter Registration form at their local Trustee office per Indiana Code 3-7-24-4. Each office of a township executive is a distribution site for registration by mail forms. As added by P.L.12-1995, SEC. 34
Completed Voter Registration forms must be submitted to the county in which one lives or to the Indiana Election Division.
