Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Right now in Indiana, 1 out of every 6 Hoosiers is struggling with hunger.  Here at the Richland Township Food Pantry, we seek to provide nutritious (and tasty!) food to families in our community facing economic hardship.  Through partnerships with Agency 10 on Aging and the Hoosier Hills Food Bank, we offer Richland residents a wide range of grocery items to choose from.

By giving clients more control over their food options, we see a decrease in wasted food as well as an increase in client satisfaction.  All residents of the township are welcome to use the pantry; please wait 30 days between visits, due to the large volume of clients.  Also try to bring plastic or reusable bags for food.

Please bring a valid photo ID and additional proof of residency from the last 30 days (for example, a water bill or piece of junk mail with your name and address) with you EVERY TIME you visit the pantry in order to receive assistance.  The pantry is located here at our office at 416 South Park Street in Ellettsville.

The food pantry is always in need of donations!  Food and other items can be dropped off at our office during our regular hours, and pickup can be arranged depending on the volume of items.  Financial donations are also very much appreciated, but to apply specifically to the food pantry, they must be in the form of gift cards (Kroger, IGA, Walmart, etc) or checks made out to the Richland Township Food Pantry.  If you or your organization might be interested in doing a food drive, please contact Alisha Finley at (812) 876-2509 or This email address is being protected from spambots.  2017 Thanksgiving and Holiday Baskets

This year was a tremendous success!  We were able to provide more than 100 local families with healthy, filling meals (and hopefully ease the burden of the holidays).

Special thanks to everyone who helped make Thanksgiving a success. We could not do what we do without you!
